Our food
Not only do we serve a range of high-quality Mexican/Californian style food – we really excel with our range of vegan and vegetarian options.
Meat is a staple in Portuguese cuisine and it can prove tricky for our vegan friends to find superb spots to eat in the land renowned for ‘piri piri’ chicken and other meaty delights.
Vegans, let’s get you fed. From our freshly prepared vegan fillings stuffed with fantastic flavors to our delicious desserts (sweet potato brownie anyone?), we pride ourselves on offering a range of vegan options.
Our menu is based on a “build your own” approach. We hand you a ticket, you tick what you fancy, and we handcraft your dream burrito/bowl/quesadilla/tacos. We’ve also got a typical mains menu for our indecisive fans.
Our values
The great-tasting burritos, bowls, tacos and quesadillas that we serve come from our exceptional products, mostly from local suppliers.
Our skilled kitchen team prepare all of our raw ingredients daily and tenderly craft them into personalized burritos/bowls/tacos/quesadillas.
Although we operate in a touristy area, it doesn’t mean we’re willing to sacrifice on great taste for faster food as we ardently believe in the connection between food production and tantalizing taste.
Try our feisty flavored home-made hot-sauces for an unforgettable injection of spice. But for the more mellow out there, our mango and pineapple sauce is ideal for those who are a little spice-shy.
We don’t just serve food: slide over to our cactus-themed fully-equipped bar in the back. Here’s where we’ll be serving up cocktails, Mexican beers, and our carefully selected rums, tequilas and whiskeys.
Lastly, the “Beats” part of our name refers to our love for great music. We don’t stick to a certain genre, but rather will play a mixture of genres so you can wind up (or down) for the evening.
About us
We opened our doors in 2015 on a mission to serve burritos in a quirky setting. Plus, we figured since Portugal is home of piri piri sauce, mixing this spiciness with flavourful Mexican food creates one heck of a combination.
Although we can’t reveal the recipe for our homemade hot sauces, we can explain our secret ingredient; our super smiley staff who are dedicated to providing the unique Beats experience.
With every burrito we roll we’re committed to helping our local community – the money you donate for our stickers (available in the shop) we pass on to our dogs shelter, helping to rehome and care for rescued pups.
Besides our passion for great food, music and helping local pups, we’re a fan of the finer things too – namely napkin art. Grab a pen and doodle yourself into fame, joining all the other napkin artists that line our walls. Our favorites are framed and the best of the month will be announced via social media.
